Memories

Aahhh the memories.....

So the other day I was making tutu's and Marleigh & I put them on our head then ran outside and stood in the flowerbed and waited for Trent to come around. He thought we were dumb... We thought we were way funny. So... I thought this would be a fun pic for the intro to my blog of memories.

Here's the rules...

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

I remember the first time I met you at the ballpark. You were packing your chair around to watch Weston's game. He was on Karter's pitching machine team (I think). You said something about being from or having lived in or having relatives in Missouri (something like that) and it turned out it was the same place my husband is from and where i also lived. Willard...near Greenfield and Walnut Grove (close to Springfield)where Kolby grew up.

I dont really remember when I met you first, but I'm sure it was at school. I just know that I was intimidated- mostly because that's how I am the first time I meet parents of my students. I dont know why, but I'm always nervous at that initial meeting! That didnt last long, though. I'm really glad you are my workout buddy!

OK...new memory since you copied MINE of you. lol

I remember one day at church when our girls were in Sunbeams. As we were picking them up after church, Sister Guinn was telling me how wonderful Ally was, how cute she was, how much she loved her and on and on and on, then she bragged to some other mom about her kid and then she turned to you and said, "And Marleigh was alright today." Hee hee hee...oh boy did I rub THAT in.

I guess the one memory of you and I that really sticks out in my mind is when you helped Cory and I get ready for our wedding. I think it was really the first time you and I ever "hung" out together either. I had tons of fun, and you were such a great help to me.

My memory of Jeana would be going through the drive thru at McDonald's. I was the YW Pres. We were in town for some reason. The girls (JEANA) talked me into going to the McDonald's drive thru. (I had refused to use drive thru's with them after the Burger King incident.) So we got up to the thing... they asked what we would like to order and they yelled... "NOTHING! WE JUST ATE AT ROCKY'S" And they made me drive away.
Jeana, Jeana, Jeana. You definitely had me out of my comfort zone a few times.

I remember begging you to play Mario Brothers for me so you could get 100 1-ups and I could play the rest of the day, or jumping on the tramp and having you bounce me and Alicia and Coryne, what a nice aunt you are. I also remember how cool I thought you and Candace were when you would sun tan on the roof.

I've got a lifetime of them but this one will always be my most favorite one when I was sixteen and you were about Sami's age and just about as full of the jabbers...lol...I would load you in the passengers seat of my car and we would head down the road everytime I'd punch the throttle and the pipes would cackle you'd stand up and laugh and say "faster Cory faster" in that lil girl talk that melts the hearts of big brothers I know you dont remember those days but I'll never forget. love ya tons sis!!!! one of my favorite memories of you is making apple sauce. It was so dang hot in that kitchen and we couldn't stop laughing! I think we burned our hands 10 times and I will never forget Weston swearing at the our dog, bob! The apple sauce was awesome though!

The memory from me about you has to be the horse ride from Hell way back in 1985 or so. We were at Darryl and Dorotha's and they had some glue factory reject saddled up so you and I went for a ride over to the Yellow shop and on the way back the horse started running and during the run it decided it was tired of you on back so it bucked you over my head. I thought you were dead! (or at least broken up very badly) To your credit you handled it like a champ and dusted yourself off (cryed a little) and went back to the house. I know that the real problem was the rookie horseman in front. Glad to see your OK.

Oh man....I can't think of just one so you get a little bit of a few good memories. How about...Rock springs, walmart, streakers, the bearded clam...enough said? Then there was Mesquite, percoset, Trent, Paulie and my dirty car windows...that was a trip. Or Evanston and what was w/ all the lesbo's and way too much info. from some of our team mates? OR, the co-ed game when there was a FULL MOON I know you loved it...you even snorted!Something memorable always happens when your around, I could go on and on and on and on.....
