Windy Point

Sunday we decided to drive up to Windy Point... I don't know why I ever agree! I always get on top of the mountain and have a panic attack from being up so high! I kept yelling at the kids to stop walking so fast. I even yelled at the dog! As you can see I feel much more comfortable sitting down :D. The last time we went there the wind acted like a boomerang and blew back anything that we would throw off. It wasn't quite as windy this time (I felt much better about that) Anyway... it was fun, but cold! There were still patches with snow! YUCK!

Trent told Alex that he thought he saw some hair on his lip. He didn't know that he was being watched while he checked it out for himself ;)

STARS Competition

We're finally done with competitions. I'm sad yet totally sick of driving to the city! I've also been pretty much useless for the 3 days that follow... so here's to being useless for no reason!

We did so well at this competition. My girls placed high in their solos! YAY US!! Mar got 1st attendant. She competed against 6 other girls so I was very proud of her! Also she has only known the dance for about 4 weeks and she has not been a very faithful practicer! Anyhow... she was awesome!! We had a good laugh at the little extra choreography that she threw in...



We placed 1st in three of routines, 2nd in two & 4th in the other. The year end review is on Thursday. It should be fun to just perform the dances and have no expectations whatsoever.

After the competition I opted to stay the night with Stephanie & Ashlin... I'm just glad that we didn't get our butts kicked out of the hotel!! We... being as tired as we all were... ended up staying up until 2:30 or 3:00 a.m. laughing (snorting in my case), dancing, and telling all of our deepest darkest secrets! ;) We choreographed a dance that we can't wait to do at the BBQ... We called ourselves the collegiate STARS, Stephanie peed her pants... I snorted some more... Ashley organized the whole thing... and Megan got it all on video! How in the H. E. double toothpicks, the kids & the neighbors (we think :S) stayed asleep is beyond me! All in all I had sooo much fun! I can't wait to hang out with all of them again.

Anyhow, here are some of the pics from the awards ceremony. And a few of me from my STARS days. Heather made fun of my bangs... HOW RUDE! Ashley made the tutu's on the way to the competition for all of the solo girls (She's a handy little thing to have around!)... they LOVED them! Especially Mar & even Chels. AND they came in handy for the collegiate team ;)

RETRO STARS

He was always tall... and a little weird! ;)

Carmen emailed me this picture of Alex & Car today. Al is around 2 or 3 years old so that makes Car 6 or 7. Look at how tall he is compared to Car!!! Anyway... He LOVED Carmen's jumper and always wanted to get in it... We'd tell him that he was to big but he couldn't stand it. So one day we put him in and he just stood there. Carson has always had an obsession with hair. So naturally that's all he's concerned with ;) Anyway... I love his crooked little smile. My mom would call him Prince Edward (I think) She said that he smiled like the prince from Sleeping Beauty(when he was little). JAMMIT!!! That makes me miss my bubbies!! Can I go back in time and relive my favorite parts of their childhood??? I'm actually tearing up...

I had so much for today!!

So... normally I don't post more than once a week, but Jen had some way cute pictures of the kids! Mar & the girls stuffed themselves with grass at the ballpark the other night! I figure... HEY THEY AREN'T BUGGING ME!! Right? The rest are just my cute kidos... gol... I guess I kind of do like them ;)

I helped Amy last week with Payden's Pirate themed birthday party! I think we may have had more fun than the chillin's :)

Gotta Move Competition

Competitions are almost done! We only have one more to go... We did very well at this last one!! And I for one had a really good time.
Gabby/Queen, Addie/1st attendant, Ashlin/1st attendant, Chelsea/Queen on Lyrical & Hip Hop & she scored overall High Point for her Hip Hop. We also had Laynie Barker (Gabby & Addie's cousin) compete with us. She took queen also... She did however tell her mom that she wasn't going to do her dance anymore, she was just going to make one up when she got out there... So that's just what she did! She told her mom afterward that she did 2 different dances. Everyone watching had a great time!! Anyhow... I just have to say, they are all awesome & I love them!
Our team placed 1st with Shake Your Tail Feather & The 70's Show(the show scored a Platinum rating), 2nd with Glamorous, & 4th with The Way I Are, Please Don't Stop the Music & Cry. We also won best choreography for Shake Your Tail Feather!!

I can't even tell you how proud I am of these girls... they have come such a long way from the beginning of the year! GO VERNAL STARS!

Weston is going to kill me for blogging this! He didn't even know we were recording! The other night Sephorah & Jeff brought Rock Band up. Trent, & Mar were playing the guitars, Jeff was singing. Seph & I were laughing at Weston. He plays the drums awesome! BUT, he's hilarious to watch! :)

HA HA HA!!! Trent is a HUGE dork! He did something to his eye today... he's not even sure what he did! Jason & I had a good laugh at his expense! What would I do without him to make fun of? ...I guess I'd just make fun of someone else. THANKS TRENT!!!
