Ball Tournament

We went to Rocks Springs this weekend for the Rock Springs Shootout Basketball Tournament. Both of the boys were supposed to play, but Weston's team got put in the wrong bracket and ended up not playing at all! :( So we watched Alex play instead. He played AWESOME! Had some GREAT blocks. Here are a few of one of his games... Next time I'll get some of Weston!!

Obsessed with the game... AND the object!

You can NOT tell me the boy isn't just a little obsessed by basketball! I was checking on the kids after we had been gone the other night... I always make him put the ball away before he goes to bed because he tries to sleep with it EVERY night! It's like his teddy bear or something!! LOL Well, I guess when moms not home to tell you... you do what you want! THE BOY LOVES BASKETBALL!!! WHAT CAN I SAY?

NO SUGAR!!!

SOOOO... My personal trainer (Amy) and I are up and exercising again... At least 1 mile a day and we can't walk under 3.0! I've been going 3.5-4.0 and 2 a day! YAY ME!! Trent got in on it for about 2 secs. HAHAHA... He ran one day and I think that's all he's done! ;)


NOW... I was telling my friend Carrie that I was getting back in shape and that I was swearing off sugar! (it likes to take up residency on my hips and butt) and she decided to make it a wager! NO REFINED SUGAR! First one to cave owes the other one lunch at the restaurant of their choice!! I think Ruth's Chris sounds nice!! HAHAHA. Anyway... it's been 6 days and I've been tempted by yummy sugar cookies from the VT's, Banana Fosters, Frosting in the Fridge, and I know the Dip-n-Dots are going to be calling my name at the Jazz game on Wednesday. But, I haven't had a craving yet! From what Carrie tells me... She's pretty stubborn so this could be a LONG ride! Good thing I put my ridin' pants on!! hahaha... I hear she likes cookies! ;)

STUPID DEER!!

The other night I was driving home from dance MINDING MY OWN BUSINESS... When out of nowhere there was a deer right in front of me! And I mean it when I say... OUT OF NOWHERE!!! I didn't even see that dang thing until I hit it. I hope it killed it! The only thing on the road was my car so I'm not sure. Scared Mar to death... but, I think she'll wear her seatbelt tight from now on! ;)

So... our lives have been HECTIC!! Nothing new right? Just thought I'd stick up a couple pictures from the last few weeks. Alex is done with school ball and almost done with Jr Jazz, and this weekend he's going with a traveling team to a tournament in the city. And probably a couple more.

Marliegh's dance competition season is just starting! Every year we perform at Vernal's Women's Day Out Expo. And that's our first chance to perform our competition routines. I'm really excited to just get those started!

I have been helping with Drill Team too... I hate the early mornings!!! Nothing has changed there... but it will be over on Thursday, so I can breath a sigh of relief!

Weston's been working on Scouts and playing since his ball has been over for awhile now. We're just waiting on baseball season to start!

Trent has been home but dealing with everything in North Dakota and he's going to Vegas next week for work. BLAH BLAH BLAH! lol... Alright... HERE'S THE LAST THREE WEEKS OF MY LIFE!

Hold my teeth please...

This is mostly funny to those of you who know my mom... and when she finds out I put it on here she's going to KILL me! hahaha.

Sooo... for those of you who know my mom, you know that she has false teeth and has for as long as I can remember. She has a little "act" that she does without her teeth in and no-one ever recognizes her. AND if you ever been fortunate enough to go to girls camp with her... you probably saw her take them out a time or two then also! Well... it's kind of been a tradition for g-ma to take out her teeth and scare the kids... like asking them to hold them and stuff. Which was what I was actually trying to get when I started videoing. She kept taking them out and asking Marleigh to hold them and Mar would scream and almost cry and then tell her to do it again. Anyway, Mar saw that I had the phone on video and got this for me... I wonder where Pam Winder is now? She'd get a kick out of this!

Pointe Break Convention

So this weekend, after helping my fasha, I took Marliegh to a dance convention on Friday night & Saturday morning. Gabby and Ashlin from the stuido went too. It was at the Pointe Academy in Lindon. Megan's (one of my moms from the studio AND a great friend) best friend from HS, Darcie, owns the studio and invited us! The Odyssey Dance Theater shares their studio and so the Pointe Academy is very fortunate to use the dancers as teachers! All of them have the best credentials... 2 had been on So You Think You Can Dance, 2 were dancers and assistant choreographers for HS Musical 1,2, & 3, among A LOT of other movies & music videos, and all of them had danced all over the world! (I really could go on and on)

Marleigh had the BEST time. Her favorite teacher was Matt Dorame (a finalist on So You Think You Can Dance). He taught them a couple dances but her favorite was a really cute dance to Fan Tan Fanny. (The video is on my facebook... it's too hard to upload videos on here). After one of her Hip Hop classes, she informed me that she thought her teacher (Brandon) was gay. LOL! Which he very obviously WAS! But a GREAT dancer! They had to learn a short dance in Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contempary, Bollywood (reminded me of the love guru), and 2 in Hip Hop. And then do a Show for everyone. She was the youngest one in her class and did SOOOO good! The weekend was REALLY exciting and we LOVED it! Thanks Darcie for inviting us!
